What We Do
Simply put – we provide the tools and resources for evidence informed chiropractic physicians to streamline patient assessment, treatment and communication to help their businesses. Anyone who is interested in turning a passion for results and outcome based care into a viable business in 21st century medicine will find value with our services.
Since beginning private courses in 2013, movement consults has helped chiropractic physicians with the art of communicating to patients and medical providers on what patients in pain are experiencing and the value of objective evaluation. Both of these groups play a key role in the success of the modern chiropractic physician.
A focus on reliability of your assessment and patient categorization is vital when patient’s health care coverages are dwindling. With a business model unlike those popularized by traditional chiropractors – quick, measurable and sustainable results are the cornerstone. From assessment and rehab methodology, to marketing, branding, and business coaching – Movement Consults is here to help you refine your objective/movement assessment and optimize your business.

Dr. Jason Hulme is the head chiropractic physician at Active Spine and Joint Center, which is located in his home town of Hendersonville, TN. Dr. Hulme has a very strong passion for helping other evidence based chiropractors excel in 21st century medicine. Pain science, movement pattern evaluation, treatment rationale and exercise prescription are not easy to integrate in an insurance based system where high volume traditional chiropractic care and long term treatment plans are still rewarded financially.
Dr. Hulme opened his startup practice in the heart of the Great Recession and built his practice around providing quality patient centered care above all else. It became evident early on that systematic approaches to evidence based care and implementation strategies were lacking in the chiropractic profession. He is adamant that the highest quality evidence based providers should be earning profession wages and sustainable business growth in the 21st century. Dr. Hulme has helped refine numerous chiropractic practices and consistently finds that this model is championed by most medical professionals which allows for better communication and cooperation with local health care providers.
Dr. Hulme strives to take every relevant continuing education course grounded in medical evidence so that he can help other providers implement their strategies or speak from a position of knowledge on their claims. This journey began during his time at Logan University with study through the Motion Palpation Institute, Active Release Technique, DNS, Stuart McGill, and MDT rationale. After graduating from Logan University he began his post graduate study through Brian Mulligan, Kevin Wilk, and TPI. Through this exposure he became interested in all course work through Functional Movement Systems. Dr. Hulme was accepted into the FMS Internship/Mentorship in 2013 hosted on Duke University campus. Dr. Hulme then went on to receive his diplomate in medical acupuncture, certify in all levels of Kinetacore’s Functional Dry Needling and journey into the concepts of modern pain science and patient classification.
Spending hundreds of hours on continuing education each year is a common thread among modern chiropractic physicians. Unfortunately, this is not a guarantor of business success as in some other professions. Rightfully many seek guidance however antiquated beliefs are still the most common undertone of many chiropractic business and consulting groups. With a lack of quality advisors rooted and successful in the evidence based chiropractic model it’s no wonder many young providers struggle emotionally, financially and find themselves stuck in low paying positions with increasing interest on their student loan debt.
Dr. Hulme started teaching private Movement Consults courses in 2013 to offer evidence based providers a solution and customized blueprint to take them from struggles to the successful conservative care practice their community deserves.
